So maybe if you are only interested in clinical settings, a school that is more clinically oriented would be a better fit for you!
My job also allowed me to talk to grad students from all over the US—I found that students were more candid about the strengths and weaknesses of programs. If you are worried about getting into a program, you might try looking at schools that are more expensive, in less desirable locations, schools not associated with OTCAS, and those that are lower ranked.
How many schools should I apply to? One admissions counselor told me to apply to 3 schools that were a good fit for my stats. In undergrad I was told to apply to 10 schools. When to complete your application Keep in mind that some programs have one set deadline whereas others will have rolling admissions select applicants as they receive them until the deadline.
